Multi-mode take on the viral word-guessing game, with unlimited play, timed Word Fever and versus matches.

Lion Studios' take on Wordle builds several modes around the six-guess word game that went viral. Daily Puzzle is the familiar one: a word of the day, six attempts, tiles turning yellow for a right letter in the wrong spot and green for a letter in place, then a shareable result to compare with friends. Classic mode removes the once-a-day limit, so you can play as many puzzles as you like, with hints available when stuck. Word Fever is a timed version where each solved word resets the clock and the pace keeps climbing. Secret Word gives three chances per word with a clue attached, and three misses sends you back to the start. Wordle Together is the multiplayer mode: pick a word, challenge a friend or random opponent, and score on fewest guesses. Boosters such as Dart (removes letters), Hint and Skip are there for hard words.
Lion Studios took the once-a-day word game and asked what else could be built on it. The Daily Puzzle is the familiar one, with a shared word, six guesses and a result to post. Around it sit Classic mode with no daily limit, Word Fever with a ticking clock, Secret Word with three chances and a clue, and Wordle Together for head-to-head matches.
Boosters such as Dart, Hint and Skip ease the hard words. It carries a 17+ age rating, is free, and holds a 4.6 from more than 100,000 reviewers.
Daily Puzzle plays as expected: guess, watch tiles go yellow or green, refine, and share the grid. Classic mode is the same on repeat, with hints for anyone who'd rather not stall. Word Fever is a different animal: each solved word resets a shrinking timer, and the pace keeps climbing until you miss.
Secret Word gives a clue and three tries, and three failures send you back to the beginning of the run. Wordle Together is the multiplayer piece, where you pick a word, send it to a friend or a random opponent, and win on fewest guesses. Boosters, including Dart to remove letters, soften any of them.
Players who outgrew one puzzle a day. The original format's restraint is part of its charm, but plenty of people wanted more, and the timed and versus modes answer that. It also surfaces for anyone searching the Wordle name on the App Store, where the six-figure rating count puts it near the top.
The tile grid and keyboard are standard, with yellow and green feedback as in the original. Around it, a mode-selection hub and booster buttons add structure the plain version never had. Five screenshots are on the page. Lion Studios' casual house style points to a bright, slightly busy interface with offers and boosters prominent.
Lion Studios Plus LLC is a large casual publisher, and the multiplayer mode and daily puzzle both need live infrastructure. The 4.6 rating from over 100,000 reviews is a healthy signal. No update cadence is described. Only the App Store link appears on this page.
More-than-once-a-day players
Classic mode removes the daily cap entirely.
Speed solvers
Word Fever's resetting timer turns the puzzle into a sprint.
Head-to-head rivals
Wordle Together scores a friend or stranger on fewest guesses.
Rated 17+, which is surprising for a word game and isn't explained; it may relate to the booster economy or advertising. Free, with boosters that are very likely sold for real money, though the listing gives no prices and doesn't mention ads. Multiplayer needs a connection and presumably an account. Offline play isn't described.
Storage and regional limits aren't stated.
Our take
A good choice if the one-a-day original left you wanting a timed mode, unlimited play or a rival to beat. Purists who like the original's restraint, and anyone put off by the 17+ rating and booster shop, should install Mediaflex's plain Word Guess instead.
