Receipts, contracts, whiteboards and book pages, turned into PDFs in three steps: capture, preview, send. Scan App + from Sarrada Software is a document scanner for iPhone and iPad aimed at people who mostly need to get paper into email or cloud storage quickly. The camera finds the edges of a page automatically when it sits on a contrasting background, and several pages can be captured into one file. Output can be black and white, colour, grayscale or an untouched photo, with a choice of large, medium or small file size. Finished PDFs go out by email, into Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, into the Files app (including iCloud) or Photos, or to another app, nine export routes in all. An Unlimited tier is sold as a lifetime purchase or as a one-month, three-month or yearly subscription, with pricing shown in the app.
Capture, preview, send. Sarrada Software's Scan App + reduces document scanning to those three steps, and the design choices follow from that: it's for people who need a receipt or a signed contract in someone's inbox or cloud folder within a minute, not for building an archive.
The camera finds page edges on its own against a contrasting surface, and multiple pages can go into one PDF. Output comes in monochrome, colour, grayscale or an unprocessed photograph at three file-size settings. Destinations number nine, including email, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, the Files app with iCloud, Photos and any other app on the phone.
A receipt lands on the desk, you open the app, hold the phone over it and the edges snap into place. Preview, pick grayscale and a small file, and send it to the accounting inbox. Done in under a minute. Several pages of a contract go in one after another and come out as a single PDF in Dropbox. The Unlimited tier matters only once you scan more than the free allowance in a month; the listing doesn't say what that allowance is, so heavier users find the limit by hitting it.
Speed is the search intent. People who already have the built-in scanner in Notes or Files still look for a dedicated app because they want direct export to a specific cloud service without extra taps, and this one names Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive explicitly. Small-business owners filing expenses are the obvious group.
Four screenshots are on the page, which matches a three-step app with a settings or export screen. Expect a viewfinder with edge-detection overlay, a preview with colour-mode buttons, and a share sheet listing the nine export routes. The listing doesn't describe the visual theme, and Business-category scanners usually keep to a functional, uncluttered style.
Version 2.6 indicates a second major release with a few updates behind it. Sarrada Software Inc is a company name, but the 4.8 rating comes from only around a thousand reviews, so the figure is encouraging rather than conclusive. The listing is for the App Store only; no Play Store version is shown here.
Expense receipts to cloud
Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive are direct targets, not a share-sheet afterthought.
Three-tap paperwork
Capture, preview and send is the entire workflow, and it stays that short.
Multi-page contract PDFs
Several pages captured in sequence come out as one file.
Rated 4+ and free to download. An Unlimited tier is sold either as a lifetime purchase or as one-month, three-month or yearly subscriptions, with prices only visible inside the app; the listing doesn't say what the free version restricts. Exporting to cloud services needs a connection and sign-in to those services, though scanning itself shouldn't. No separate account for the app is mentioned. Ads, storage and regional limits aren't addressed.
Our take
A sensible pick for anyone whose scanning is mostly send-and-forget to email or a cloud drive, and the lifetime purchase option is a welcome alternative to yet another subscription. People who need OCR, searchable text or signatures should look at the other scanners in this batch. Test the free tier against your monthly volume before paying.
